The Apex

A private residential flat at The Apex in Kwai Chung. White cabinets and beige walls set the base throughout; a long low cabinet runs along the living room wall and the television is replaced by a projector; the bedroom is built up into a platform bed with drawers, putting the storage under the bed.

Living room with projector screen

The projector screen is tucked under the ceiling in the living room, leaving a plain white wall day to day; a row of plants on the sill brings light and greenery in together.

A long low cabinet runs along the living room wall, with open bays in the middle for equipment; a projector takes the place of the television, leaving the wall completely clear.

Full-height wall cabinets are built above the dining room, with a section of open shelves left beside them for collected pieces; white doors against beige walls make a small flat look tidier.

A folding glass door separates the utility balcony and still lets light through when closed; the white frame is the same colour as the wall, so it does not read as a barrier.

The bedroom is built up into a platform bed, with drawers across the whole base; the bed runs into the window sill, giving the daylight over to a place to sit and lie.
