Residence Bel-Air
A private residential flat at Residence Bel-Air, at Cyberport on Hong Kong Island. Textured plaster and stone set the base throughout, with every piece of ironmongery in rose gold; reclaimed-look timber is set against cool grey stone so the materials keep their warmth without turning ornate.

The entrance pairs a reclaimed-look timber cabinet with black framing against a wall of textured plaster, lit across its width by a copper picture light. Timber-effect tiling takes over at the threshold and carries on inside.

A flight of white steps doubles as storage in place of an ordinary ladder, each tread a drawer in itself. A desk is set at the window, sleeping above and working below, using the full ceiling height by stacking the two.

Blush-toned stone lines the bathroom walls, and a full-width mirror visually doubles the room. A round counter-top basin with a black tap sets up enough contrast to keep the outline of the sanitaryware crisp.

The shower enclosure is framed in rose gold to match the ironmongery elsewhere in the flat. The riser and rail come as one piece, and the stone runs unbroken from floor to ceiling so the joints are kept to a minimum.
