Hollywood Terrace
A private residential flat at Hollywood Terrace, in the Central and Western District of Hong Kong Island. Off-white, natural timber and dark timber blinds make up the palette, and the living and dining areas read as one; a full wall of tall units at the entrance takes the everyday storage, so nothing has to be left by the door.

The living room holds a single L-shaped sofa and little else; a long sill runs below the window, where timber blinds control the sun.

The dining area and the entrance share one wall of tall white units running to the ceiling; the middle is left open for the things that get put down on the way in.

The open niche is lined in timber and becomes the fixed place for keys and earphones; a socket is provided inside it.

Timber venetian blinds run the full width of the window so the light can be adjusted through the day; the sill is finished in dark timber and doubles as a place for plants.

The bathroom is tiled throughout in a pale marble effect, with a glass sliding door to the shower; a bay is left at one side for the washing machine, with drainage and power provided together.

A brass wall light replaces the bedside lamp and frees up the top of the nightstand; the switch and socket positions were set out to suit the furniture.
