Graceful Mansion

A private residential flat at Graceful Mansion, in Discovery Bay. White panelling, dark timber floors and brass ironmongery make up the palette, and one side of the living room is given to full-height glazing and the green outlook; the corridor, bathroom and kitchen each take a patterned tile or mural as their focal point, while the remaining walls are kept plain.

One side of the living room opens to full-height glazing and a green outlook, with the sofa set against the wall; the dark carved timber console plays against the pale walls.

A single framed picture hangs above the sofa and the rest of the wall is left plain; a slim-legged side table holds a plant without eating into the walkway.

The corridor is finished with an arched opening, and a colonnade mural at the end draws depth out of a short passage; the pendant uses a pierced brass shade.

The bedroom wardrobe uses dark louvred doors against a white panelled room door, and the dark timber floor is finished with a clean edge.

A botanical patterned tile panel forms the backdrop to a freestanding tub, with brass shower fittings picking up the geometric floor tiles.

Panelled white units run to the ceiling with long brass pulls; the glazed cabinet alongside is kept for display, separating storage from show.
