Avignon
A private residential flat at Avignon, in So Kwun Wat in the New Territories. Across 918 square feet a pale blue-grey sets the tone against handleless white joinery, with brass trims and a deep green vanity as the accents; every fitted piece runs to the ceiling so the storage is pushed onto the walls, leaving the floor to daylight and movement.

The main bedroom pairs pale blue walls with an upholstered headboard for a soft, unglaring tone. Glazed sliders lead through to the dressing room on one side, still letting light through when closed so the room is not darkened by the extra door.

The dressing room is lined on three sides with white units to the ceiling, with a band of lit glazed doors midway for display. The doors are handleless and push to open, keeping the elevation unbroken.

A run of white open shelving with sliding glass fronts is hung at staggered heights against the pale blue wall. The glass covers only half of each bay, which keeps the dust off while leaving things easy to reach.

A full-width upholstered headboard runs from corner to corner in the bedroom, with a bedside cabinet built in at each end. The bed sits on a timber platform, with drawers along its side to give back the storage.

Grey stone surfaces the bathroom floor and walls, with the vanity switched to deep green as the accent. The shower uses a sliding glass screen, so no swing space is needed in a narrow room.
